lynadamsphotos.com: My Galleries
New images will continue to be posted as time goes by.

I utilize Canon cameras and lenses, and currently I use a Canon 50D (which I really enjoy) along with a variety of lenses from extreme wide angle (10 mm) to telephoto (300 mm) - which are effectively increased in length by 1.6 by the "cropped" CMOS sensor of the 50D. I shoot extensively in the Carolinas, but often enjoy shooting in the nation's national parks when I get the opportunities. Almost all of my images focus on nature and the "natural world". And, I find that one does not have to go far to be truly amazed by the "gifts" of this earth that bless our lives ... with wonder and beauty, tranquility and peace ... Enjoy.

Autumn is my favorite time of the year in North Carolina. I like to walk along the edges of water, deep into the woods, and catch the sunlight back-lighting the color of the leaves or reflecting the colors in a quiet pool of water. Nature changes so rapidly this time of year, and you realize that what you are seeing will soon be gone. And, the chance to capture and share the images comes but once, never to be quite the same again. Life is like that, you know. We have to seize the day!

"Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul...." -- John Muir, Naturalist and Advocate for the nations' National Parks

These images reflect the places and scenes in the natural world, the parks, woods, beaches, and shores that I'm drawn to and that inspire me to realize the awesome power of God and the gift of life on earth He has given to each of us.

Often going unnoticed, the "smaller world" of flowers, plants, birds, insects, and the like hold a great fascination for me. They always have, but not always when I had my camera handy. So here you will find those instances that more recently afforded an opportunity, with camera in-hand ... to capture but a few of those unique moments in time ... and the journey.
